UP6581 is leading an intermodal/autorack train down main track one and will stop somewhere along Atkinson Street for a crew change. (There was an unusual event on this date, so be sure to look at the photos in order.)

The intermodal/autorack train, led by UP6581, had some technical difficulties and couldn't get out of the way, so the dispatcher gave Amtrak five permission to pass the red signal and approach the platform at restricted speed with the warning that she didn't know where the end of this train was precisely.

309 creeping along. Having an extra engine complicated the issue a little bit.

I guess the engineer decided that this was close enough.

Only the baggage car and the first two sleeping cars made it to the platform.

The passengers have boarded and number five is backing away from the platform.
